Best Sunglasses and Swimsuit Pairings

Hello loves! Summer is finally here and I am so happy! It’s been a hard winter, but summer seems to finally set in, and I have embraced it with open arms.

One of my favorite thing about summer is the fashion! I love shorts, tank tops, sandals, and dresses, all of which were made for summer. However, my favorite summer outfit is probably a bikini and a pair of sunglasses, a.k.a the one true pairing. I love more than anything is to go for a swim in my pool and then dry off with a good book. I go through tons of sunglasses over the years, always on the hunt for the “perfect pair”.

Which is why I got so excited when Warby Parker, an online shop that sells gorgeous prescription glasses and sunglasses at affordable prices, announced the launch of their newest collection of sunglasses called “The Summer Edit” with different styles for everyone!

My eyes were particularly drawn to the more feminine styles (because when am I not drawn to all thing girly? lol). Plus, they got some awesome new hues: Deep Indigo (that currently owns my little heart), Rose, White Marble and Pimento (another fav).

Because I fell so hard for this collection, I thought it would be cool to pair some of their new sunglasses with what bathing suits would go great with them. So let’s get started!

Penny

Penny is an adventurer, a free spirit whose heart belongs to the open road. For her, summer is all about road trips, photography, and exploring new things. It’s also a very versatile frame that can go with just about anything. You can easily take these frame from the beach to the grocery store without looking out of place. Truly an everyday style.

Paired best with these colors: white, stone grey, pale pink, black, earthy brown, purple, solid colors.

Paired best with these swimsuits: halter bikini and one piece, bandeau bikini

Gemma

Gemma is the ultimate boss. She is bold, in-charge, and knows what she wants. During the summer you can find her reading on the beach, probably getting some tips on how to succeed in business without looking like your trying. What I really like about this frame is the simple elegance of it. It’s glamorous without being all up in your face about it.

Paired best with these colors: Jewel tones, Monochromatic colors (red, navy, black, white, etc), Stripes.

Paired best with these swimsuits: Cut out one-piece, regular bikini, Tankini

Renee

These are probably my FAVORITE pair of sunglasses, loves. When I first saw them I’m 100 percent sure I did the emoji heart eyes. Like I am in love with them. Renee is a fun-loving frame. She is quirky, silly, and in love with all things colorful. Renee is perfect for wearing loud, fun patterns, eating ice cream, and petting dogs.

Paired best with these colors: Bright colors, bold patterns (cherries, polka dots, anything wild and unique).

Paired best with these swimsuits: Tie front bikini, String bikini, regular one piece.

Lola

Lola is all about the vintage-inspired look. She could spend hours at thrift shops, or go to old movie houses to take in a black-and-white movie. Retro is in and this is the perfect frame for it. These are really sweet frames, a close second for my favorite frames in this collection. They are just so fun!

Paired best with these colors: Monochromatic colors (red, navy, black, white, etc), stripes, anchors.

Paired best with these swimsuits: High waisted bikini, push up cups, anything with cute buttons.

Poppy

Poppy is a sophisticated frame, known for its dramatic flair. I can easily see this frame paired with a floppy sun hat, billowy coverup blowing in the wind, and holding an ice-cold mint julep. This frame balances classic and bold perfect, great to wear at parties, vacations, or just lounging by the pool.

Paired best with these colors: Black, deep reds, jewel tones, color-blocking, floral and leopard prints.

Paired best with these swimsuits: Cut out bikini and one-pieces, off the shoulder bikini
